Internship Programme: AI Software Engineer

Reportix is a young startup headquartered in Mannheim, Germany, with a strong international outlook. As a RegTech and LegalTech company, we create software that makes contracts, reports, and other documents both human- and machine-readable. Our customer base and team are highly international. We are looking for a talented AI Software Engineering Intern to help us bring intelligent automation into the Reportix platform. During this 6-month internship based in Mannheim, Germany, you will contribute to AI-assisted document understanding, data extraction, and workflow automation features for complex financial and regulatory workflows.

• Bachelor or Master student in computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, software engineering, or a related field with a strong track record
• Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, large language models (LLMs), natural language processing, or document intelligence
• Experience or strong interest in retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, vector databases, embeddings, or AI agent workflows
• Familiarity with AI development frameworks and tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, or similar is an asset
• Programming experience with Python, Java, or modern software engineering practices is beneficial
• Interest in building AI features that are reliable, usable, and integrated into excellent product experiences
• Understanding of Docker, Git, and GitLab CI is beneficial
• Good entrepreneurial spirit is essential: openness, motivation, autonomy, creativity, communication, team spirit, initiative, respect, courage, honesty, and integrity
• Fluent English, both spoken and written; German or additional languages are an asset
